We're going on a deer hunt!

We're definitely not scared and to be honest we don't have to go that far.
Out my front door, turn right and follow the pavement round the corner, stomp, stomp, stomp.
Cross the road, look left, look right, look left, look right.
Walk through the houses down the little lane and onto the field, squelch, squelch, squelch.
Follow the path around the water round to the other side and onto the next field, more squelch, squelch, squelching.
If you're very lucky you will get within 100ft of these beauties as Callum did this morning.

If you're even luckier they will pose for you as you take a picture.

  1. So lucky to get close, they are usually off like a shot. I love seeing them as it's easy to forget we have something so big walking around the countryside. Sadly not often spotted around us.
Thank you for the reminder of the deer/bear hunt rhyme, used to do that at playgroup and I had forgotten all about it

  4. Love to see deer, except for the ones that come in our yard and eat our plants.
