An oasis of calm.

We went to see my friend with lots of children on Good Friday, we'd been invited to tea.
Her house understandably is chaos but in a nice way.
There are children everywhere vying for attention all trying to show you everything at once and chatting away.
In a corner of the sofa Cody held the new baby, born three weeks ago.

Although she wasn't asleep in this picture she slept later, proof indeed that babies can sleep through anything!

  1. I almost held out my arms to have the baby, there is nothing quite like the feel and smell of a very young baby. I do not think there will any in my vicinity for some time. James and Cerys have there pigeon pair and Francesca is too busy building her career. I can still enjoy looking at others though.

    1. I think I'm going to be an older "Grandma" as I had mine quite late so it'll definitely be a few years before mine start with children x

  3. I don't know who looks more content, the baby or Cody :-)
I love babies, no more grandchildren here, i will have to settle for 2 girls. Having been a childminder for a lot of years I did get a few tiny ones to look after and had my share of cuddles :-)

  5. Oh that feeling of holding a newborn baby in my arms. I miss it even though I know we are done now. So lovely to see Cody like this.
