It's "healing" but not healed!
He's had physio already, it's very stiff.
He's also soaked it in the bath to try and get all the dirt and dead skin off.
Back to hospital in four weeks for another xray to check it's still mending as it's meant to.
He's over the moon to have the cast off though.
I bet Clark's pleased to have the cast off, that's an impressive scar he's got there.
ReplyDeleteHe is Jo. The scar is much longer than we were lead to believe it would be!
DeleteYay!! Oooh I bet it feels good! No excuse for not helping with the dishes now :-) x
ReplyDeleteNo,warm water and exercise. I think that's called hydrotherapy!
DeleteThe feeling of freedom when that cast is lifted of, nothing quite like it. I think that I went through a couple of tubs of moisturiser to soften the dead skin, and the smell Yeukk, old socks and dead trainers sprung to mind. It will be a little while before it is back to full operational duties , but washing up should be fine, heat therapy. I had my wrists dipped into a warm wax bath and then wrapped in cling film to hold the heat in, it helped with movement and left my skin soft. My best wishes to Clark.
ReplyDeleteThanks Pam. We have put moisturiser on. I have been told to wrap it in climgfilm after putting on moisturiser and leaving it overnight but I don't want to do that until all the scab has come off. He's still a bit afraid to use it at the momemt.
DeleteCongratulations Clark......Cool scar!
ReplyDeleteThanks Em x
ReplyDeleteGlad he's on the mend - that scar will make for some great tales some day :)
