This is what we need down here in the South West!
Apparently we've got another storm heading our way at the weekend, I continue to mop paw prints and hang wet clothes in doorways to dry!
The house is gleaming though! (Apart from the paw prints!) I'm getting so many extra jobs done in the house as we're not going out anywhere. Even the dogs haven't been walked for the last two days, the rain has just been non-stop and torrential!
I did find this though and I agree with it wholeheartedly, so at this very wet and cabin fevered stressful time it is what I will continue to do!

What on earth is the weather doing down your way? I saw the pictures of the mid air railway at Dawlish - that will take a while to repair I think. It must change for the better soon.
ReplyDeleteI really hope so! We've not been as bad as Cornwall/ Devon. They have had a horrendous time of it! My friends husband got stuck on Portland yesterday as they shut the causeway which is the only way on/off! Their flood siren has gone off several times over the past few weeks!
DeleteIt's shocking. We've had plenty of rain but nothing like the poor souls who are flooded, I do feel for you all in that area of the country. I can identify with the muddy paw prints though and I've only got one dog, goodness knows what it's like with seven. Keep your chin up and keep knitting
ReplyDeleteI keep thinking of the calories I'm burning off whilst mopping!
ReplyDeleteI feel your pain!!!! The weather here is bad enough but from what I ve seen thru the media it looks trueky awful your way. Much empathy with muddy dogs!!!! I liked your link about knitting i m a very novice knitter but its good therapy :)
ReplyDeleteI always destress through knitting. As to the weather, it can't go on for much longer, surely?
DeleteMy son and family live down in Plymouth and they had it really bad yesterday. Lets hope we see the end of all this horrible weather soon before we start to grow webbed feet!
ReplyDeleteTake care xx
We're not so badly off as the most southwesterly counties. I think it's because we're coastal we're getting it. I keep saying I'll be taking the dogs for a swim soon, not a walk! I hope your family didn't suffer too much x
DeleteI really feel for you with all the problems the weather is causing. I agree with the knitting article, I'm sure knitting improves my poor concentration, and it's very much appreciated by my family. DH was really upset this morning because he thought he'd mislaid the 'Doctor Who' scarf I made him for Xmas, luckily he found it in one of the classrooms at college. And DD2 arrived at the door in terrible weather yesterday but all snuggly in the bobbly yarn snood I made her, she loves it. By the way, I've made another sock and did the toe cast off with right-sides together and it looks very neat on both sides. I'll post pictures once the second one is finished.
ReplyDeleteIt is lovely to see people wearing your knitted garments, shows they're appreciated! Have you decided which finish you prefer on the socks yet?
