Lazy post!

Yesterday was full of mundane jobs, housework, washing floors, changing beds, ironing, washing floors! Walking dogs , oh and have I mentioned washing floors!
I've done my leaflet round this morning, another week of staying dry. Yay!
The storm that we were meant to have today with high winds has amounted to nothing, we've got brilliant sunshine, it's a bit chilly but nothing like what was predicted for us.
I only hope those further south west of us have got it better than was predicted too.
Anyway, these are finished,
My friend with lots of children has two boys with birthdays in March so I'm going to knit this cardigan for the five year old

With this wool,
It's a sort of sage green but it's got a fleck of red in it. I haven't decided what to do the four year old yet.
That's all today, nothing else to blog about really!

  1. All these knitted pretties make me want to try again. cotton reel is asking for baby jumpers for Africa so I may try one of those , just to see if my wrists play up. I had to stop knitting after breaking them both.

    1. Doing something small so it doesn't weigh too much on the needles might help. It could go either way, knitting might strengthen them but it could also play them up! Hope it's the first one!

  2. It was a lovely day yesterday, I made the most of it and took Archie for a long walk, just as well as it's been raining again today. Those socks will be keeping somebody's feet nice and cosy, I don't think you can beat hand knitted socks for warmth and comfort. It's been a while since I've knitted any, I've got lots of lovely sock yarn stashed so I should really get on with some.

    1. I've knitted so many of these bedsocks, my Mum in particular likes them as she doesn't like slippers but her feet get cold.
We've got a load of rain predicted for tomorrow so we gave the dogs a trek today.

  3. How do you do it? I've mentioned you in today's blog post because I am in awe at the rate you produce knitted goodies. I have finally finished my second pair of socks, and in the time I've been knitting those I think you've made 2 pairs and a jumper. I think I'll have a go at a different design next time; maybe the stocking stitch ones will knit up a bit quicker. I like the wool for that cardi. I used to love making things for my kids when they were little, especially picture jumpers. That's one good reason for my kids producing a grand kid for me, so I have someone to knit for. LOL!!!!

    1. Luckily my boys will wear hand knitted garments, my daughter won't! I think the boys will be knitting for their own children so I won't be needed :-(

  6. Haha x I've started knitting when I was five years old so I've been doing it for just over forty years, I've managed to build up a bit of speed! As long as you enjoy doing it, it doesn't matter how fast you are x

  7. Your knitted goodies always look so lovely :)
Plenty of floor mopping going on here with just one set of muddy paws, I don't envy you four more sets too x

    1. Thank you, I think I would go insane without my knitting! My mop is one of my "best buys"!
