Last night was there first gig together onstage.
One of her friends put this on Facebook so I've pinched it to put on here. It's taken Malcolm and myself most of the day to manage to do it!
This song is called "Play with fire" I don't think it was their best but it was good.
Please excuse the mike cutting out during Edens solo and our Youth Worker, Chris, walking in front of the girl videoing and taking a picture!
Eden is the furthest right as you look at the video and she sings the third verse. She's the loudest one so you can hear her during
the chorus.
First Dorset then the world! They are very good.

ReplyDeleteDamn our narrowband! All I'm getting is buffering! x
ReplyDeleteThat's a shame Em, you are missing a treat!
DeleteYou have very creative children, singing, baking, knitting lots of different talents. Do you think the home schooling helps them find what they are good at and develop it rather than have to conform to a set plan?
ReplyDeleteThanks Dreamer, I definitely think they probably have more freedom to follow their dreams. I will teach the basics of something and if they like it they tend to carry on with whatever it is themselves. They can all knit but Soloman chooses to do it now and then whereas Callum learnt and asked for more teaching and has gone more in depth. Soloman loves astronomy, they've all been taught about the planets but Soloman will get books out the library to go more in depth. Their learning is quite lead by them. We are also very open about boys and girls not having a set role as in girls clean and boys climb trees! I think if they were at school they wouldn't do some of the things they do because they would get a lot of stick for doing it. Although the drawback of homeschooling may be that they don't get as many chances of doing things because of the restrictions of money or opportunity, on the plus side they get the chance to do more things in depth and of their own choice.
DeleteExcellent, they've all got lovely voices. You must be a very proud mum. I don't know where they get their nerves from to perform in front of people, I'd never be able to do that.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jo. All of the girls mums were there and our hearts were bursting with pride! Their voices are all different but they go together so well.
